About Us
Welcome to Newport El where we strive to be "The Best on the Beach"! We are a student-centered school with a focus on helping students reach their potential, develop socially and emotionally, become life-long learners, and be prepared for the rest of their educational career. Our incredibly talented staff works alongside our invested parent community to make Newport El the special place that it is.
At Newport Elementary our goal is to offer a quality education for all students and encourage each student to reach their potential. We are committed to offering our students a safe and secure environment with rich learning experiences. This means we do whatever it takes to ensure that our students learn at high levels. We know that not all students learn the same way or at the same rate so we give students multiple opportunities to succeed. We provide daily enrichment and/or extra support in math and language arts via our Impact learning rotations.
Our highly qualified teachers work together to provide a caring, supportive learning environment. We teach, reward, and support academic and social behaviors via our PBIS model. Students are taught the tools they need to be successful, life-long learners and citizens.
Newport Elementary is supported by the partnership and hard work of so many. Our students are surrounded by a dedicated staff, terrific parent group, and supportive community. We all work together to make Newport El the "Best on the Beach"!
About Me
I grew up locally and attended school in Newport Beach. After earning a BA in Business from Westmont College, I realized that education was my true passion. So, I went back to school to earn a teaching credential and Masters in Education from Vanguard University. I have been a teacher and administrator in NMUSD for the past 19 years. I love what I do, and there's no better place to do it! I firmly believe that parents and educators need to partner together for the success of students. Please reach out with concerns and suggestions or just to connect.
Best,
Amanda Estrada
