Please follow these easy steps to enroll in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District:

  • Verify your address with the district
    • 7:30 am - 11:30 am - Monday through Friday

  • Complete online paperwork or pick up hard copies at the school site - Online Pre-Enrollment

We'd love for you to become a part of our Newcomers' Buddy Program! 

In order to help you and your family get settled-in, and to meet other Newport El Families, we would like to select a special “buddy family” for you.

The program was developed to ease a family's transition to a new school and to have a point of contact for any questions they may have throughout the school year. The “buddy family” that will be assigned to your family will have a child in the same grade as your child.

When you finish your enrollment on campus, we will assign you your buddy.
