In the interest of the safety of our students we have made some changes to the procedures for afternoon dismissal and pick-up. The map below will help you know the correct place to either pick up your children or where your children will be exiting the school at the end of each day. Please carefully review the map so that you can be ready for the change on that day. If you have any questions, please let the front office know. Again, your students’ safety is our main concern.

Newport Elementary Named Distinguished School
We are thrilled and honored to be recognized by the state of California as a Distinguished School. We’ve worked hard to implement systematic practices to improve student achievement. The two practices that were highlighted in our application were our response to intervention program and our writing workshops. Newport El has a great, dedicated team that includes a collaborative staff, fantastic student body, and supportive school community. Our journey and focus on continuous improvement will continue!
Newport Elementary English Language Advisory Committee
We are having and forming a parent English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC) for Newport Elementary School. The purpose is to provide families of English Language Learners with information about out district's Master Plan for English Learners, and our School's Single Plan for Student Achievement.
